The Story
The Story Behind Gospel Crash
2022
May
The Beginning
Gospel Crash began with a mission trip to Odisha in May, 2022.
I travelled there to support a church that was running a school in one of the most socio-economically disadvantaged regions of the state. Although the community had very limited resources, there was an extraordinary hunger for God and for the gospel. The local church was serving the people with remarkable faith, sacrifice, and perseverance.
We spent twelve days there with almost no network connectivity, completely disconnected from our normal world. During that time, I witnessed both the depth of the need and the beauty of what God was already doing through the local church.
The experience broke my heart and gave me a lasting burden for people, communities, and cities that are often unseen, underserved, or unreached. When it was time to leave, we did not feel like coming back. There was still so much need, so much spiritual hunger, and so much more that could be done.
Even after returning home, the burden did not disappear.
2023
The Vision
In 2023, during a season of fasting and prayer, I saw a vision.
A massive city gate covered in darkness and locked from the outside. Then I saw a powerful force crash into the gate and break it open. As the gate fell, light slowly began to break into the city.
In that moment, I heard one word:
Gospel.
Without fully understanding what was happening, I opened my eyes and said aloud:
"Gospel Crash."
At first, the name sounded strange. I wondered whether it meant crashing the gospel or something entirely different. But as I shared the experience in the life group, later to my leaders and friends, we began to pray, seek God, and pursue the burden behind it.
From 2023 onward, Gospel Crash began taking shape through prayer, outreach activities, creative expressions of the gospel, and a growing desire to find new pathways into cities and communities.
Taking Shape
For the next three years, the burden continued to grow. There were dreams, ideas, prayers, and small steps, but the vision had not yet been formally launched.
2026
March
The Launch
Then, in March 2026, I strongly sensed the Lord asking me to begin Gospel Crash and step into the things I had been praying and dreaming about since 2023.
Gospel Crash exists to see the power and light of the gospel break through barriers of darkness, enter cities and communities, strengthen the local church, and create pathways for people to encounter Jesus and become disciples.
It is the continuation of a journey that began in Odisha in 2022, became a vision in 2023, and slowly took shape over time as direction became clearer, people came on board, resources came together, and conviction deepened, until in March 2026 everything was set in motion.
The Mission
It is a burden, a vision, and a prayer:
That the gospel would crash into darkness, crashing barriers, and the light of Jesus would fill cities.
